We take care of every detail, so you can relax and enjoy the day with other people who feel just like you do. We provide plenty of refreshments and regular breaks, so there’s no rush and no pressure.
You’re looked after by our friendly flight crew and cabin staff, headed by a senior BA pilot. A top psychologist or therapist is also on hand to help, and our team is with you throughout the day to answer any questions you may have.
We’re passionate about flying, and we want you to feel the same. Our flight crew and cabin staff have many years of experience and are fully qualified British Airways personnel. We don’t just fly for a living – our team includes senior professionals who actually train and assess the crews that operate today’s commercial aircraft.
Did you know that 1 in 4 people have a fear of flying? In fact, one of our own team members was initially afraid to fly, until he attended one of our courses. Fear of flying is perfectly natural, and you’ll find us very understanding. After all, we’ve helped over 45,000 people just like you.
Sometimes, the biggest fear comes from not knowing what is happening. During the flight, our captain gives you a running commentary at every stage, talking you through everything that happens as part of a normal, routine flight.
Our psychologists are the best in their field. Keith Stoll MD runs a private practice in Harley Street, London, while Patricia Furness-Smith runs her own private practice in Buckinghamshire, lectures and trains in psychology and psychotherapy. Both have written several books and contributed many articles to the national press and trade magazines. You may even find one of them holding your hand during the flight.
Please note: no hypnotherapy is used in any of our courses.
98% of people who come on our courses successfully overcome their fears. But everyone is different. We are confident that after spending the day with us, you’ll be ready for your first flight. But of course this remains your decision. We will never pressure you to do anything you’re not comfortable with.
Following the course we recommend you book a flight as soon as possible, and if you book with British Airways, you will receive special attention by letting us know before you book. We will endeavour to ensure that your Captain will be informed there is a special passenger on board!
In addition you will be entitled to a discount.

I don’t know who’s looking forward most to my twin grandchildren’s birthday – them or me. I’d never flown before and was scared stiff of making the trip to Australia to visit them. So I took myself off on a Flying with Confidence course, and now I have my bag packed already.
